    Location: Room 201

Class Motto: I am the Way, the Truth and the Life.

    Class Scripture: John 14:6

Mission Statement: Reach out beyond our Church as we go about our daily activities to be a witness wherever we are.

Men of all ages are welcome to come and join us for learning and fellowship.

  • LIFE: Living in Faith Every Day

    Teacher: Doug Chappell

    Location: Room 105

This class is open to any age. All are welcome. We study weekly from the King James version of the Bible. Members are free to contribute and be actively involved in the class. There is a time for special requests and prayer as well as updates on the homebound.

  • Men on a Mission

    Teacher: Sam Jester

    Location: Room 305

Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up.Ecclesiastes 4:9-10

Our goal is to love and encourage each other and share the Gospel with the lost.

  • Net Casters

    Teacher: Tim Reed

    Location: Room 203

Class Motto: Men Fishing for Men

And Jesus said unto them, Come ye after me, and I will make you to become fishers of men.Mark 1:17

We welcome men of any age. Just come by and see for yourself. We typically take a minute or two to review the week, share prayer requests, and pray before the lesson.

With the help of God, we study the lesson each Sunday in a way that helps us see how it applies to men today. Anyone can feel free to ask a question or make a comment about the lesson, but no one is obligated. Don't be worried about being "put on the spot."

We're just a group of men meeting on Sunday morning to learn more about Jesus. Come join us! You will be welcomed.

  • Friends of Faith

Teachers: Vera Petree, Jean Dezearn, Jan Moody, Ann Key, Elizabeth Key

    Location: Room 202

A friend loveth at all times ...Proverbs 17:17a

We have a good group of ladies that love the Lord and enjoy Sunday school. All are welcome to join the class no matter your age. We have good discussions in our lessons and learn a lot from each other.

  • Give God the Glory

    Teacher: Linda Metts

    Location: Room 204

Purpose Statement: Our passion is to bring God the glory through the teaching of His Word. Our desire is for women to grow in their faith and be blessed in their walk with God by the leading of the Holy Spirit.

Ephesians 4:1 tells us to walk worthy of the calling that He has called us to, and God has more than equipped us to do this!

Sunday School is a unique opportunity for relationships to bond and friendships to blossom and our class is no exception as we love and draw strength from each other.

Through the weekly study of God's Word, we are challenged to mature as Christians and learn how to live according to His standards so that ultimately God gets all the glory.

  • Grace

    Teacher: Ann Chappell

    Location: Room 105

All ages are welcome in this class. We are a wonderful group of ladies who love the Lord and each other. We start each week with prayer requests and any updates concerning our class members and other acquaintances.

Most of the time we study the curriculum adopted by the church; however, we have embarked on special studies from time to time. The King James version of the Bible is our textbook.

The ladies are always willing to help one another with whatever needs there might be. We are also involved with other ministries such as Tri-C, the Association's annual Toy Store, as well as home and foreign missions.

  • Living Waters

    Teacher: Kay Enloe

    Location: Room 207

Mission Statement: Women After The Eternal Redeeming Salvation

But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.John 4:14
  • Common Ground

    Teacher: John Hawkins

    Location: Auditorium

The Common Ground class is an easily accessible, diversified group of all ages. Everyone is encouraged to participate in a non-intimidating atmosphere, which causes them to think, reflect, and grow closer to the Lord.

  • Triple A

    Teacher: Gary Hemric

    Location: Room 304

The mission of the Triple A Sunday School class is to honor our Savior by being faithful to Him and His Word. Our main goal is to grow spiritually so that we can show His love to others through the lives we live through Him. Because of our love and concern for each other, we pray for God's blessings on the class and also the church staff.

The class supports Ebenezer Christian Children's Home. We have regular class fellowships, and our class members provide the entertainment. Our prayer is that God will bless us so that we can be a blessing to others.

  • The Redeemed

    Teachers: Steve & Wendy Bullins

    Location: Room 502

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.Jeremiah 29:11

Our goal is to equip college-minded and career-minded individuals with the Word of God in order to train, empower and prepare them for life. We strive to bring in young adults from college and the workplace who need a church home that will facilitate their individual growth in Christ.

  • World Changers Christian Fellowship

    Teachers: Chris & Anita Carter

    Location: Fellowship Hall

Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.Ephesians 6:11

We are a mixed class that ranges in ages from 18 to whatever. Every Sunday we are excited to see what God has in store for us individually as well as collectively. Prior to the lesson, we meet and have coffee and a light breakfast. This allows us a time of fellowship and prayer before we get into God's word.

We invite anyone who wants to come and participate, without any commitment. Our prayer is that everyone will find a class where they can learn and grow spiritually to a level they never thought possible.

We pray for God to show up and show out in the lives of our people and that those that we come in contact with will be able to see God in us.

Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.II Timothy 2:15
And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.II Timothy 2:2
Family Bible Institute Badge

Our Family Bible Institute (FBI) is an in-house Bible Institute here at PHBC. It meets on Sunday afternoons and generally lasts an hour to an hour and a half. FBI is an opportunity for people to go deeper into the Word of God. Some classes are academic and others are Christian-life based. All of our classes will offer you a greater understanding of Scripture and will challenge you to go further in your walk with God. Each class is worth three credits, and after the completion of three courses, you can be inducted into the FBI.

You are invited to sign up for a class that interests you, or for those of you who desire to progress through the FBI, you can ultimately earn the Adult Certification in Biblical Studies, which is our in-house Associates Degree in Bible. The classes will either be held in a classroom setting or a small-group format depending on the nature of each course. The goal is for all of our classes to challenge and stretch you, but since you are not required to write papers or take exams, they are not burdensome. Each course lasts 6-10 weeks.
